Julia Hammerlund

Julia Hammerlund grew up in the rural plains of Illinois, where they recently returned after living in various parts of the country and with their family in Mexico. Outside of writing, they enjoy wandering both wide open spaces and urban oases alike, connecting with their community, reading, connecting with plants and wildlife, moving their body, learning, teaching, tarot reading, and creating different kinds of art. They have been a lifelong writer, and finally gathered up the courage to begin sharing their work with others last year. They are excited to have Discarded as the first publisher of their work and thankful to those who choose to engage with their piece.
